Relationship Counselling

Mountain Air Psychology is a place to find relief.

At Mountain Air we feel life is much like a mountain, unpredictable, ever changing, both exciting and scary, at times inhospitable, at others calming and awe inspiring. The mountain can provide security and protection, but can at times seem threatening, even unstable.

A mountain, much like a family or relationship requires a little knowledge, prep, and skill to be successfully traversed. Mountain Air wants to help you understand, build and navigate your relationship’s and each other’s love maps. Together we will work towards identifying concerns, discovering triggers, hidden meanings, and dreams underneath the conflict, through increasing adaptation, coping strategies, and skills. As a couple you will learn to walk through some of the storms, and down right avalanches, you face moving forward together in health and happiness, having confidence that your relationship has fortitude.

There are many reasons someone could find themselves struggling with a situation. Another may never know what obstacles that person had to overcome, or the options they had to choose from; But, this situation is changeable if those involved are willing to communicate and put in the time and effort.

One needs commitment, trust and security. Using the Gottman Method we work towards communicating in a way that will finally allow your partner to openly and calmly see, hear, and understand your concerns. We address the conflict issues and unrealized dreams for the relationship; help navigate desire, sex, and intimacy in the relationship. Improve the daily interactions, today and in the future. It is through empathy, connection, and knowledge that we can achieve healthy, functional, full lives.

Love is a choice and you choose your partner everyday.

Greet each morning with a ritual of connection. This helps to build and maintain intimacy and a sense of connection throughout the day.
